Hi, I’m Ryan. I’m a Christian, husband, daddy, and church elder.
My role as an elder in our small, rural, Kentucky church is primarily to plan and facilitate the Lord’s Day worship service (Bible readings, hymns, songs, prayer, etc.).
I’m a Particular Baptist, holding to much of the 1689 London Baptist Confession of Faith. I hold to the amillennial interpretation of scripture concerning the eschaton/last things. I’m also an instructor, weekend homesteader, and hymn/song writer.
I love to be outside, whether harvesting garden veggies, foraging for mushrooms or fruit, smoking a pork shoulder, or sitting around the fire pit with my pipe or a cigar. This blog is my way of sharing worship resources, songs and short articles I write, sharing photos and videos from the homestead, and connecting with like-minded folks.
So get off the main road, pull up a rocking chair, and let’s talk about a little bit more than the weather.
