Stanza 1
Hearth, hall, and hedge here hold no sway,
A home in Glory waits;
This night is waning, hast'ning day;
A home in Glory waits.
A home in Glory waits,
How bright that land will be!
My dwelling for eternity,
A home in Glory waits.
Stanza 2
Taking my leave of every pain,
A home in Glory waits;
I'll go where Jesus lives to reign,
A home in Glory waits.
A home in Glory waits,
Beside the glassy sea
With living waters flowing free,
A home in Glory waits.
Stanza 3
Though this abode be richly blessed,
A home in Glory waits;
Still richer is that Heav'nly rest!
A home in Glory waits.
A home in Glory waits,
What sights we saints will see!
O, won't you come and go with me?
A home in Glory waits.
Stanza 4
How sweet to shed each earthly care,
A home in Glory waits;
Far sweeter that my Savior's there,
A home in Glory waits.
A home in Glory waits,
My Lord prepares for me;
Just think how glorious it will be!
A home in Glory waits.
About the song
