Hymn
Those Sweet, Unnumbered Days
Words: Ryan Daniel Cornett
Music: William Leighton
Tune: LEIGHTON
Meter: L.M.
Stanza 1
Those sweet, unnumbered days to come,
Whose bounds creation cannot sum,
May hold our years on earth made new,
But for God's love, they are too few.
Stanza 2
The ocean's vast, unmeasured deep
Could not within its boundaries keep
The ever-surging, gracious flood
That swells to raise the saints of God.
Stanza 3
Above the ancient mountain's height
And fading hues of evening light,
God's lasting mercies higher stand,
Each morning offered by His hand.
Stanza 4
Though battered by the harshest gale,
The storms of death shall not prevail;
God's winds of favor make my course
And take me home to Heaven's shores.
