Hymn
To Know Him More
Words: Ryan Daniel Cornett
Music: Charles H. Gabriel
Tune: ERSKINE
Meter: C.M.D.
Stanza 1
The blessed morn I greet with prayer,
A seed in Heaven sown;
My daily cross I rise to bear,
And bear it not alone.
Refrain
To know Him more, to know Him more,
My respite and my light;
To seek to know the Savior more
Yields treasures of delight.
Stanza 2
The Word that pierces joint and bone,
With holy fire renews:
Hid'n in my heart, its truth I own;
A pearl I cannot lose.
Stanza 3
For pardon, aid, and purer thought
I ask on bended knee;
The Lord, my praying changes not,
But oh, it changes me.
Stanza 4
When gathered 'round to feast and sing,
To bless and praise with awe,
In seeking closeness to our King,
We closer all will draw.
About the song
