Hymn

Christ, the Prize All Wealth Exceeding

Words: Ryan Daniel Cornett

Music: Luther O. Emerson

Tune: REDEEMER

Meter: 8.7.8.7

Stanza 1

Christ, the prize all wealth exceeding,
Treasure of the Father's blest,
Hear my lonely, midnight pleading
That in Your supply I'll rest.

Stanza 2

Needful or abounding, teach me
To find joy in all Your ways;
Both in poverty and plenty,
May my tongue sustain Your praise.

Stanza 3

Train me ever to be prudent,
Greed and rashness to exclude;
May I linger as Your student
In the course of gratitude.

Stanza 4

Oh, the wealth of this believer
Dwells above in Heaven fair;
Though bereft of gold and silver,
I am rich beyond compare.

Stanza 5

Let me, Your provision heeding,
Grasp no good but Glory's strand;
Christ, the prize all wealth exceeding,
All I have is from Your hand.
